 An
open letter to my fans:
“To those of you who have had a
chance to see and hear my son Robert in action, you know what an
amazing performer he is. He has been this way since childhood,
even before he learned to write and sing professionally. I
recall him turning up his Aiwa boom box to max as he dressed for
school or did his homework or primped and preened getting ready
for a night out…Led Zeppelin or AC/DC driving his very being as
a young child, soon to be a man. A rocker from the start.
I guess you could say he’s a chip off the old block. I
recognized his love for music, but I didn’t push him to pursue
it as a career. I did however expose him to recording sessions
and tour dates with Alice Cooper and suddenly one day he showed
me a lyric he had written called “Hippy be Good” (a classic!)
and some others he was working on and I knew then he was jumping
into the deep end of the gene pool with me.
I am so glad he did because he is
a natural born musician/songwriter with a gift that needs to be
shared with others…like you.
This new CD which Robert and I
worked on together is a real source of pride for me, the father.
Every time I listen to it, I am astounded at what I hear and
that here we are, Father and Son, with the Son in the driver’s
seat this time.
And he is a great driver.
